“India(In) has exponentially scaled up its checking capability from 1 in Jan to over 9.32 crore currently.

The quite high checking has resulted within the uninterrupted falling positivity rate. It’s as of now fell below 8 percent,” the Ministry tweeted.

The MoHFW furthermore stated that quite comprehensive checking has therefore performed as a greatly efficient tool to control the spread of COVID-19 infection.

With a spike of 62,212 new instances & 837 demises within the last 24 hours, India(In)’s COVID-19 count approached 74,32,681 on Sat..

According to the MoHFW, the COVID-19 count includes 7,95,087 active instances & 65,24,596 cured/discharged/migrated instances. With 837 demises within the last 24 hours, the overall demise count because of the disease has approached 1,12,998.

As per the UHM, the active instances have dropped below the 8 lakh mark first time in one-and-a-half mos.

“This substantial achievement is the outcome of Center-led targetted strategies leading to a high no.

of recoveries & gradually falling no. of fatalities,” the Ministry stated.
