Engin Ardıç, who wrote articles in many magazines and newspapers in Turkey, had been receiving treatment for his illness for 6 months.
It was announced that Ardıç, who was operated on in a private hospital in Istanbul Bağcılar, passed away this morning.
ENGIN ARDIÇ’S BIOGRAPHY
Engin Ardıç started his career in 1970 in “Theater ’70” magazine.
Ardıç worked as a copywriter, as an announcer for the BBC Turkish broadcasting service, as a theater and literary critic for Cumhuriyet and Politics, as an editorial consultant for Nokta Magazine, as a columnist for Dünya, Sabah, Star and Akşam, as a commentator for Inter Star. Engin Ardıç also wrote articles in Elele, Tempo and Playmen magazines.
Ardıç has been a columnist for Sabah newspaper since February 24, 2008.
