Beşiktaş Vice President Engin Baltacı spoke to Habertürk Spor. Stating that this season has not been managed fairly in the Super League, Engin Baltacı emphasized that the TFF administration was unsuccessful and said that the federation should not continue.
Engin Baltacı also announced that they have applied to UEFA. Stressing that the only thing UEFA can do about local federations is to express their opinion and give advice, Baltacı said, “We told UEFA to inform both us and the TFF about your opinion and advice on this issue.”
Here are the prominent statements of Beşiktaş Vice President Engin Baltacı:
“IT WAS NOT A JUSTICE SEASON”
“We are of the same opinion with what our teacher Şenol said about this season. In our opinion, this season has not been a fair season. We said this on every platform. Because of our president’s statement at that time, ‘Is this the time now?’ those who criticize then began to say ‘It was true’.
“WHAT DOES PROTECTING OUR RIGHTS HAVE TO DO WITH THE EARTHQUAKE?”
Three days after the earthquake, TFF made this decision without asking anyone’s opinion when they said, ‘There are two methods for this: either ignoring all the matches or counting the remaining matches as forfeit’. He did not consider our applications at this point either. As Beşiktaş management, we gathered at night right after the earthquake and organized aid activities. All our friends in the administration mobilized. While doing this, we tried to protect the interests of our community in the field of football. What does protecting our rights have to do with earthquakes?
“THE BEŞİKTAŞ CLOSE TO THE LEGS”
Besiktas has been stuck in the trotter from the first match. Go back and see Alanyaspor match. When it comes to Beşiktaş, I think that those who raise their voices and slap their hands on the table have put into practice what they want in terms of designing both the top and bottom of the league. But I can clearly say this once again; Besiktas was stuck on his leg. Beşiktaş community understood this and supported our effort. Afterwards, the sports public understood this. A club president also said recently that he doesn’t think either decision was fair. The understanding that said this today said, “This is true,” yesterday.
“WE ARE ON THE SAME POINT ON REFERENCES”
Whatever the point our president said about the referees last year, we are still at that point in everything. We are not like those who say, ‘We demand justice for everyone’, ‘We will not finish this league’, ‘We will explain the documents’. Whatever justice we were talking about yesterday, whatever we said about it, we are there.
TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi
“THIS FEDERATION SHOULD NOT CONTINUE”
As the board of directors, we have not yet had a meeting for the TFF election. Candidates are not clear yet, this job has a schedule and he has not stepped in. The current administration has not declared its candidacy. However, we do not have any expectation or hope that they will be nominated again. We have stated very clearly that this federation has failed and that we see it as unsuccessful several times through the mouth of our president. Nothing has happened yet to change our view. Therefore, I say this personally, but if we look from here, there should be no question of the continuation of this federation.
“WE DID NOTIFY UEFA TO TFF”
At most, what UEFA can do about local associations is to express its opinion and advise. The rest is a decision to be made by the local federation. But I don’t know how much the federations can apply to take action against UEFA’s advice. That’s why we told UEFA to inform both us and the TFF about your opinion and advice on this matter. “
