At around 17.30, the TIR under the command of Mehmet B., on the South ramp of Denizli-Manisa highway, coming from Manisa’s Alaşehir district to Denizli, got out of control on the slippery road due to the rain while it was descending. The TIR crossing the opposite lane hit the car under the control of Hasan Çetinkaya (35), which was going in the direction of Manisa from Denizli, and started dragging it.
The TIR, which turned the car that it dragged into scrap, went off the road and fell into the forest area. At that time, drivers passing by mobilized to save the injured. Ece İkra (6), who learned that she was taken out of the car crying, was taken to the hospital by a driver.
Afterwards, the paramedics who went to the scene determined that Ece İkra’s mother Ümmü (31), her father Hasan and her brother İdil (3) died.
While the dead bodies were taken to the morgue for autopsy, Little Ece İkra died in the hospital, thus bringing the death toll to 4.
It was learned that the investigation into the accident, in which the TIR driver continued to be treated, continues.
