The preparations for the 23rd International Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival, organized by the Intercultural Communication Association with the support of the Hessen State Ministry of Culture and Integration and the Frankfurt Metropolitan Municipality, continue in Frankfurt and Istanbul. The program of the festival, which will be held by the Intercultural Communication Association between 11-16 June in partnership with the TÜRSAK Foundation Turkey project, has been announced. Festival honor awards will meet with their owners
23rd Turkish Film Festival | The winners of the “Lifetime Honor and Loyalty Awards” of International / Frankfurt/M. have been announced. This year’s winners of the “Lifetime Achievement Award”, which will be given on June 12, are; Theater and cinema actor Sermin Hürmeniç, who achieved great success with his role as “Keje” in the movie “Bandit” in 1996, was selected as the best actor in the 24th Ankara Film Festival and the 3rd Malatya Film Festival for his role in the movie “Behind the Hill”. The Main Jury of the “11th Turkish Films Contest Through the Eyes of German Filmmakers” consists of editing operator Patricia Rommel, actress Jale Arıkan, director Yüksel Aksu, actress Ece Uslu and actress Tuğrul Tülek, under the chairmanship of director Dirk Schäfer. In the festival, where preparations continue at full speed, a panel on “Republic and Cinema” will also be held this year on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
