Stubble fire caused an accident on TEM: 1 dead, 36 injured

One person died and 36 people were injured in a chain accident involving 12 vehicles on the TEM Highway, which was covered with smoke from the stubble fire burned in the field in Edirne.

When the smoke from the stubble fire burned in the field reduced visibility, an accident occurred at around 14.30 on the TEM Highway in Edirne’s Köseömer location. In the chain accident involving 12 vehicles, 1 person died and 36 people were injured. Many teams were sent to the region. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals. While TEM Highway was closed to traffic between Edirne and Babaeski, vehicles were directed to the D-100 highway.
