A written statement was made by the Egyptian Presidency regarding the meeting of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in New Delhi, the capital of India, within the scope of the 18th G20 Leaders Summit. In the statement, it was stated that the two leaders emphasized the importance of improving relations between Turkey and Egypt.

In the statement, it was stated that the two leaders expressed their desire to strengthen regional cooperation with a solid strategic approach within the framework of mutual respect, common interests and sincere intentions in order to contribute to the maintenance of security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean region. It was stated that they exchanged views on ways to intensify consultation and coordination.
