Post-election post by Uğur Dündar: ‘My conscience is at ease’

Turkey went to the polls on May 28 for the second round of the Presidential Election. Presidential candidates Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu competed to win the votes of more than 60 million voters.

According to unofficial results, the candidate of the People’s Alliance, Erdogan, was elected the 13th President of Turkey.

“MY CONSCIENCE IS COMFORTABLE”

Dündar, who shared a message on the results of the second round of voting on his Twitter account, used the following statements:

“My conscience is clear. I did my best. I can easily look in the mirror and the faces of my children… I congratulate all our citizens who voted for democracy, freedom, rule of law, unity and integrity for their efforts. Long live the homeland, long live the Republic of Turkey…”
