Muğla Provincial Police Department Anti-Immigrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch teams have learned that there will be migrant smuggling from İzmir to Marmaris with a pickup truck. Acting on this, the teams stopped a pickup truck in the Menteşe district center and searched. In the search made by the teams, 13 illegal immigrants of Syrian nationality who were hiding among the bricks in the box of the pickup truck, which was covered with a tarpaulin, were caught, and 2 organizers were detained.
Illegal immigrants were handed over to the Provincial Immigration Administration after their procedures, while the suspects of the organizer İ.HK and EA were arrested at the courthouse where they were transferred after their procedures.
