Passenger bus hit by a truck caught fire in Ankara: 5 passengers were injured

The accident occurred at around 22:00 at Ankara-Niğde Highway Ahiboz location. The fiber-loaded TIR with 38 YU 757 plate, whose driver’s name could not be learned, went out of control and crashed into the intercity passenger bus with 33 AFC 777 plate.

While the bus caught fire with the force of the impact, the cup of the TIR, which was thrown and crashed into the barriers, was broken. While the passengers on the bus were evacuated from the vehicle with the help of the people around, many health, fire, police and gendarmerie teams were sent to the accident site upon notice.

While the bus, which turned into a fireball in a short time, was extinguished by the firefighters, 5 of the 25 injured passengers were taken to the surrounding hospitals by the medical teams. Fortunately, the truck driver was not injured in the accident, while the other passengers continued on their way with another bus belonging to the company.

On the other hand, the burning of the passenger bus after the collision was also recorded by the people around with a mobile phone camera. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
