NGC 346
NGC 346 is called a star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud, about 200,000 light-years from Earth. Images taken by the James Webb Space Telescope show clouds and arcs of gas and dust that stars and planets use as source materials during their formation.
The purple cloud on the left, captured by Chandra, is the remnant of a supernova explosion from a massive star.
