New change statement from İmamoğlu, Özel and Tezcan in CHP

İMAMOĞLU: CHP HAS TO SHOW AN ABSOLUTE CHANGE

Change debates in CHP continue with new statements. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke at the program organized for the 100th anniversary of CHP. İmamoğlu, who turned his route to mayoral candidacy, said change once again after a long time. “We are entering the second century of our republic with an opposition that cannot give our citizens the belief that the government can change, and unfortunately with the CHP as its main element. I cannot accept this. If we have not succeeded in becoming the power, it means that we are complicit in that crime to some extent. CHP must show an absolute change,” he said.

“WE MUST COME TO CITIZENS WITH A DIFFERENT VISION”

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu pointed to the congress for the ongoing calls for change since the election and said that the way for change was clear. But new releases keep coming. In the article he first wrote in Cumhuriyet Newspaper, İmamoğlu said that his promise was the change of the CHP. Afterwards, he gave a speech on the agenda of change. “Unfortunately, we observe that our citizens think ‘CHP can do this job better’ on very few issues. We cannot classify citizens sociologically and say ‘This is not our fault, dear’. We have to confront the citizens with a different vision. We have to confront the citizens with different words.” said.

EXCLUSIVE: I AM NOW CLOSER TO THE CANDIDACY

CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel, who is rumored to be a candidate at the congress, will also announce a position document. Özel said, “The process we are going through now has brought me closer to candidacy than that day. If there is a candidacy at the end of this work, I have that self-confidence, that belief, that determination.”

TEZCAN: THE STRONGEST CANDIDATE ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

CHP Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan, who attended the much-talked-about leaked Zoom meeting, also supported Özel in a television program he attended. Tezcan said, “Change will come from the congress. He will be a good chairman.”
