New allegations have emerged that Britain’s former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, violated the restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 outbreak. The Cabinet Office, which is responsible for overseeing the functioning of the government, has contacted the police regarding new allegations that Johnson violated the Covid-19 restrictions. In a statement by the Cabinet Office, “New information has emerged in the process of preparing evidence for submission to the Covid-19 investigation. In line with the obligations in the civil servants law, this information was transferred to the relevant authorities and now it is up to them.” it was said.

In the statement made by the Metropolitan Police, it was stated that the allegations were communicated to them on May 19, and this was related to possible violations of Covid-19 restrictions at the Prime Minister’s Office between June 2020 and May 2021. Johnson’s spokesperson stated that these visits were reviewed by the Cabinet Office in preparation for the Covid-19 investigation, “After reviewing the visits, Johnson’s lawyers explained to the Cabinet Office and the Concessions Committee that the visits were legal and did not violate any Covid-19 regulations. He wrote a letter,” he said.
