Minister Yumaklı attended the International Food Safety Conference in Uzbekistan


















Drawing attention to the importance of food safety, Yumaklı said that he had the opportunity to re-explain what Turkey did about food safety at the meeting. Minister Yumaklı said, “We talked about Turkey’s contribution to world food security, especially the grain corridor, which is appreciated by the whole world, with the initiatives of our President. In addition, we had the opportunity to reiterate here how important the agricultural production of the countries is in the next period and what factors it depends on.”

“WE WILL TRANSFER OUR EXPERIENCES”

Underlining that Turkey has a special relationship with Uzbekistan, Yumaklı said that the relations, which have gained a very rapid momentum until now, will continue to develop in the concepts of agriculture, forestry and water. Stating that they are ready to share their experiences with the member countries of the Organization of Turkish States, Yumaklı continued his words as follows:

“We will be together again, not only in the context of Uzbekistan, but also on what can be done about some environmental and climatic factors in which Uzbekistan has brought together 5 countries, together with 6 countries from other Turkic Republics. We held bilateral meetings with our Uzbekistani counterparts on this issue. We will come together and talk about their topics, both in Turkey and here as Turkish states. The aim here is to get a good momentum from this synergy. To support each other in the fields of agriculture, forestry and water, together with the countries that are members of the Organization of Turkish States. It is our greatest desire to cooperate in order to achieve higher-level results in our relations.”

TARSİM GOODWILL

Reminding that they are focusing on a model with Uzbekistan as well as with Azerbaijan regarding TARSİM, Yumaklı stated that they have been working on the establishment of this model in Uzbekistan for a while. Noting that later on, 6 countries will create a common agricultural insurance pool, Yumaklı added that this union will contribute to all countries.
