In the statement, Yalçın said, “As a determined member of the People’s Alliance, MHP will continue its consistent politics in the local elections.” He added, “MHP, which is the leading actor of the Turkish nationalism cause in the political arena, will color the ballot box to its own consistency and shape the political arithmetic to its own weight in the local elections to be held in March next year.”

Then he criticized the administrations of CHP municipalities. Regarding the İYİ Party’s step to enter the elections without an alliance, Yalçın made the assessment, “To strengthen its hand in bargaining.”
