The Mozambique Delegation, which was in Turkey to hold a series of meetings between 3-9 September, visited the Presidency of Defense Industries. After the bilateral meeting between the delegations, President of the Presidency of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and Mozambique Defense Minister Cristóvão Artur Chume signed the ‘Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement’. The agreement covers the principles of mutual cooperation activities between the two countries in the field of defense industry. In the meetings between the delegations, President of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün talked about the role that the distance covered in the Turkish Defense Industry plays in Turkey’s independent foreign policy and stated that our country is ready to share its solutions and experiences in the field of defense industry with friendly and brotherly countries.
Mozambican Defense Minister Cristóvão Artur Chume stated that they are impressed with the level reached by the Turkish defense industry and that they wish to see Turkey as a strategic partner of Mozambique. The Mozambican Minister of Defense and the accompanying delegation also visited the leading defense industry companies and examined the products on site.
