Data breach notification from Trabzonspor to KVKK due to cyber attack

According to the announcement published on the website of the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), a cyber attack was carried out on Trabzonspor’s servers on 19 May, and the attack was detected on the same day.

Trabzonspor Commercial Products and Tourism Management Trade Inc., Trabzonspor Futbol İşletmeciliği Ticaret A.Ş, Trabzonspor Telekomünikasyon Danışmanlık ve Servis Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş., Bordeaux Blue Football Investments Trading Inc., Trabzonspor Club Association and Trabzonspor Bordeaux Blue Energy Electricity Generation. Inc. While the files kept on the encrypted servers could not be accessed, the number of people and records affected by the breach could not be determined.

While those affected by the breach were employees, users, students, customers and potential customers, identity, communication, personnel, customer transaction, finance, professional experience, marketing, audiovisual records and other data categories were also affected.

Those concerned will be able to get information about the data breach through the call center.
