Charter plane carrying 12 passengers from India landed at Karachi airport in an emergency

According to media reports, a charter plane carrying 12 passengers from India landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi city of Pakistan on Monday.

Geo News quoted sources as saying that this special flight taking off from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad landed at Karachi airport at 12:10 pm (local time).

Confirming this, a spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan (CAA) said that the said international charter plane had taken off from India and apart from this, it has no connection with any other country.

Shortly after landing in Karachi, the special flight again took off with all the 12 passengers. It is not yet clear what caused the plane to land at the Karachi airport.

It is worth noting that even before this, two planes taking off from India had to land at Karachi airport last month due to technical reasons.

On July 5, the fuel indicator of SpiceJet’s Delhi-Dubai flight had failed mid-air, after which it was diverted to Karachi.

On July 17, IndiGo’s Sharjah-Hyderabad flight was diverted to Karachi as a precaution after pilots noticed an engine failure.
