The United States and Canada faced each other in the 3rd place match of the FIBA 2023 Basketball World Cup.
The match played at SM Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines witnessed great competition. While the first half of the match was spent with Canada leading 58-56, the regular time ended with a tie of 111-111. Canada, which made fewer mistakes in overtime, won the match with a score of 127 – 118 and finished the tournament in 3rd place.
The top scorer of the match was Dillon Brooks from Canada with 39 points. On the other hand, Canada won its first medal in World Cup history.
