London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Declared on Friday that he’s self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
“Over the past 24 hours I’ve developed moderate symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus,” he said Twitter, posting a video message.
“I’m now self-isolating, however, that I shall continue to direct the government’s answer through video-conference as we combat this virus,” he wrote.
“Be in no doubt I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technologies to communicate with my leading group to direct the federal fightback against coronavirus,” he inserted in the movie message.
On Twitter, UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock declared In one hour of Mr Johnson’s tweet he also has tested positive.
A Downing Street spokesperson said that Johnson, whose spouse Carrie Symonds is pregnant, experienced symptoms and had been analyzed on the guidance of the chief medical officer of England.
The evaluation has been completed in No 10 by NHS personnel, the spokesperson added.
