Gates argued that the company that will develop a personal digital assistant that can perform some tasks for humans will most likely win the artificial intelligence race.
The billionaire businessman stated that this technology could radically change the behavior of users:
“It’s going to be big no matter who wins the personal assistant. Because you’ll never go to the search engine again… You’ll never go to Amazon again.”
Gates argued that the artificial intelligence assistant will be able to understand the needs and habits of users and will enable them to learn things that do not have time to read.
The technology billionaire emphasized that giant companies can win in the artificial intelligence race, as well as venture companies can win.
Noting that it will take some time for the digital assistant to be available to everyone, Gates stated that in the meantime, companies will continue to adapt software such as ChatGPT to their own products.
Gates, one of the richest in the world, argued that artificial intelligence technology that produces good texts can affect white-collar workers.
Gates added that he believes that humanoid robots, which will be cheaper than human workers in the future, will affect blue-collar workers.
